What is an anagram?
A word made by rearranging every letter of another word, using each letter exactly once: LISTEN becomes SILENT, ENLIST and TINSEL. Words made from only some of the letters (LIST, TEN) are sub-anagrams; this solver lists both, full anagrams first.
How does the anagram solver work?
Type a word or a set of letters. It finds every English word that uses all of them, then every shorter word they spell, longest and best-scoring first. A ? stands for a blank tile that can be any letter. Press Enter to open the word's own anagram page.
Which dictionary does it use?
The same list as Wordtide's English board: ENABLE, a public-domain word list, with offensive words removed. Definitions on the word pages come from WordNet 3.1 (Princeton University).
Does it send my word anywhere?
