Word game for kids

A word game for kids that starts before they can read

Little Tide is the calm kids mode inside Wordtide, made for ages 3 and up. Children hear letter sounds, trace letters with a finger and put letters under pictures to spell their first words. Older kids move on to real word puzzles in the same game.

Little Tide, ages 3 and up

Picture-and-sound rounds that need no reading: hear a letter's sound, trace its shape, listen for rhymes and drag letters into place under a picture. There are no timers, and a small Garden grows as your child plays.

Made to be safe for kids

Little Tide has no ads, no chat and no sign-up. The little and junior profiles never see ads or rewarded-ad offers. Pick an age band on the "Who's playing?" screen and the game adapts: little (3-6), junior (7-12), teen (13-17) or grown-up.

Puzzles as they grow

Children aged 7 to 12 can play Solo Journey, 100 hand-built word puzzles across eight islands, with hints that nudge before they reveal. The Daily Seven gives everyone the same seven letters each day, a short and friendly challenge to do together.

For parents and teachers

Wordtide runs in a browser on tablets, phones and Chromebooks, with no account to manage. The privacy page lists exactly what is stored and for how long, and a player's data can be deleted from inside the game.
